The Marlborough Public Schools is pleased to announce that in late June 2015 we received notice from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) that Whitcomb Middle School has received full accreditation for the current 10-year cycle. Attached are the letter from the visiting team co-chair and the final report resulting from the NEASC process.
We thank everyone who was involved in and served in leadership roles throughout this process.
In seeking regional accreditation with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, a school commits itself to meeting and maintaining publicly stated Standards for Accreditation. A school's self-study is the first step of a decennial three-phase cycle designed to provide a school with a systematic, qualitative process of self-assessment, peer review, and short and long-range planning, the result of which is school improvement.
