A message from Superintendent Mary Murphy
Welcome to the Marlborough Public Schools!
I am thrilled to begin my tenure as your Superintendent of Schools. I am excited to begin this new role and lead the district, after serving for the last nineteen years as Assistant Superintendent, Principal and Assistant Principal.
We believe that all students can learn is the guiding belief of the Marlborough Public Schools.
In Marlborough we are committed to educating the whole child. We value our students’ access to advanced course options, the Arts, and multiple pathways that expand opportunities for our students. Our goal is to foster lifelong learners and prepare students to compete and succeed in the 21st century. Technology is embedded in our classrooms and curriculum. Our students are provided 1:1 access to technology at all levels. The Marlborough Public Schools are inextricably linked with our city and enjoy partnerships with business and industry community partners.
As I enter my first year serving you as Superintendent of Schools, I will be completing an entry plan. Even though I have worked in the district since 2003, in my new role, I still need to listen and understand from a different perspective. I will be available to meet with groups of parents and community members throughout the fall to complete my entry plan. I will also be surveying parents in the next few weeks, and again throughout the year. Your opinion matters. I want to hear from you.
