Each summer, the Middlesex Sheriff's Office sponsors the Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA) for 8-12 year-olds from communities across the county. YPSA is a week-long camp designed to expose our youngest citizens to role models in public safety – namely sheriff’s officers, and their local police, fire, emergency medical services (EMS) personnel, as well as to teach them valuable life and safety lessons.
There are still spots open in select cities and towns for the Middlesex Sheriff's Office Youth Public Safety Academy! Click here to read the flier!
Due to the increase of influenza (flu) type illness in our schools, MPS is providing families a helpful flu prevention guide. Be proactive by reminding your children to thoroughly wash their hands and use cough etiquette (cover their mouths). Be aware of flu signs, and have your child(ren) avoid close contact with others if they are exhibiting flu symptoms. Consult the Flu Guide for Parents, the Flu Guide for Parents in Spanish, or the Flu Guide for Parents in Portuguese to become more educated about flu symptoms and prevention measures.
