    As per federal and state laws, the Marlborough Public Schools is responsible for identifying, locating, and evaluating any children ages 3-21 with known or suspected disabilities who reside within the school district’s boundaries to determine whether a need for special education and/or related services exists.

    All referrals are considered confidential, and the services are provided at no cost. The parent, legal guardian or surrogate parent retains the right to accept/refuse services, and they are provided other procedural safeguards under both federal and state laws.If you know of a child who has a disability or that you suspect may have a disability, you may refer that child’s parent or guardian directly to the Marlborough Office of Student Services, District Education Center, 25 Union Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
