If you want to know how students raised over $15,000 in just two weeks, just ask the students at Jaworek Elementary School. By holding a "Fun Run" on Friday, March 2, students earned money based on the number of laps they ran. The fundraising event idea was conceived of by Gabrielle Miller, PTO Vice President, and Courtney Leith, Communications Liaison for the Jaworek PTO, during the summer; they presented the idea to Principal Sanborn and Vice Principal Pantazopolulos who whole heartedly supported the idea. By asking families and friends to sponsor them, the Jaworek students exceeded their fundraising goal and had a blast doing it! The PTO hired Boosterthon, a U.S. wide organization that works with schools to build fintenss, leadership and character, to help put on this exciting event. Based on this year's success, it looks like Jaworek will make the "Fun Run" a tradition!
