Whitcomb 8th grader honored as first place winner in Peace Poster Contest

Peace Poster Contest

Zeena Archaya, 8th grader at Whitcomb school, was recently honored at the Marlborough Lions Club dinner for winning 1st place in the Lion's annual club regional peace poster contest.  Joining her at the dinner was Tim Chaves, (left) 8th grade art teacher, and Mark Gibbs, (right) the district's IT Director and an active member of the Lion's Club of Marlborough.  As first place winner, Zeena received $100.  This year the Whitcomb school took all three top prizes with second place going to Areena Chavada, who received $60, and Jordan Savitsky who won 3rd place and received $40.  In total, Whitcomb entered 33 posters!  We are proud of the many talented students at Whitcomb.
