MHS Students in Art Shows

Three students from Marlborough High School will be recognized in this year’s Youth Art Month Statewide Exhibit entitled United Through Art, which will be on display in Boston at the State Transportation building, 2nd Their work has been selected to be part of this annual celebration that emphasizes the value of art education for all children, and encourages support for quality art programs in schools.  This exhibit will feature student work from over ninety communities. The exhibit is open to the public weekdays 9 am-5 pm from February 13 through March 31 (closed President’s Day, Monday, February 20). Admission is free.

The art department is proud to announce that five of our students will have work on display in Emerging Young Artists 2017 Invitational Exhibition, hosted by the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. This exhibition aims to support the future of the arts in Massachusetts by showcasing the work of the region’s emerging young artists.  Our school was selected to participate because of our program’s quality and its long-standing commitment to arts education. The exhibition will be held between January 23 and February 11, 2017, in CVPA’s Campus Gallery at UMass Dartmouth. A closing reception is scheduled for Saturday, February 11th, 1-3 pm.
