Marlborough Public Schools is proud to announce three new educational leaders for the upcoming school year. These appointments were made to continue the district’s focus on student success.

Jason DeFalco, Interim Superintendent
The Marlborough School Committee unanimously selected Jason DeFalco as Interim Superintendent. Mr. DeFalco has over 20 years of experience in public education, most recently serving as the superintendent of the Blackstone-Millville Regional School District with prior experience in urban public schools. He holds a Doctor of Education degree from Johnson & Wales University and a Master's degree in School Leadership and Administration from Worcester State College.


Jennifer Collins, Principal, Goodnow Brothers Elementary School
Jennifer Collins began her career in education in 1997 as a teacher in the Marlborough Public Schools. Over the course of 24 years, she taught kindergarten through grade 3. After completing a Massachusetts School Administrators' Association Leadership License Program and principal internship in 2022, she joined the Uxbridge Public Schools as an elementary assistant principal.


Stephen Sierpina, Principal, Marlborough High School
With more than 16 years' experience as a school administrator in both urban and suburban settings, Stephen Sierpina has been chosen as the Principal of the Marlborough High School. Previously, Mr. Sierpina served as Principal of Groton-Dunstable High School. He holds a master's degree in educational leadership and management from Fitchburg State University and earned a BA in History with a concentration in secondary education from St. Anselm College.

These changes, which reflect the district's ongoing commitment to transforming education by recruiting and retaining dedicated, high-quality staff, will take effect on July 1.
