Marlborough High School Announces Principal Stephen Sierpina's Departure
Marlborough, MA - On April 2, Marlborough Public Schools announced that Marlborough High School Principal Stephen Sierpina will be stepping down from his role at the conclusion of the current school year. Principal Sierpina informed MHS staff and faculty on April 1 of his decision to pursue a new opportunity closer to home.
"We are very sorry to see him go and are grateful for the work he has done this year at MHS," said Superintendent Jason DeFalco, Ed.D. "While we hate to see him leave, we wish him much success."
Mr. Sierpina's last day with the district will be June 30. Under his guidance, MHS has seen a range of initiatives focused on enhancing the educational experience for students and providing support for faculty and staff.
In light of this transition, Marlborough Public Schools is beginning the search for Mr. Sierpina's successor. The principalship has been officially posted, and a search committee is being established to conduct a thorough and inclusive process to identify the next leader of MHS. The committee will be dedicated to finding a candidate who will continue to support the school community and uphold the values of excellence in education.
Further announcements regarding the search process and the committee's progress will be shared with the community in the coming weeks.
