On April 2, Marlborough High School sent 41 students to the 4th Annual Metro South/West Trade and Construction Expo, bringing the total to over 600. The event remains a valuable opportunity for our students to gain career exposure, engage in hands-on learning, and network!
One standout moment was a full-circle story involving a Marlborough High School alumna from the Class of 2025, Maria. Last year, as a senior, she attended the Expo and connected with Winter Properties, a real estate company hosting a table. With support and partnership from MHS and Youth Connections, she secured a summer internship after graduation.
Since then, Maria has been interning with Winter Properties for nearly a year while taking online business administration classes at Nichols College. She’s gained hands-on experience in real estate while also working as a manager at Ulta. At this year’s Expo, we unexpectedly saw Maria again—but this time, she was behind the table representing Winter Properties and speaking with our current MHS seniors about opportunities in the field. It was a powerful example of how career exposure and networking can truly open doors for students. She is now preparing to take her real estate exam this May.
Let’s all congratulate Maria and wish her the best of luck on her test!
