At Marlborough High School, students gain exposure to real-world environments and industry practices that inspire them and help guide their future decisions. A recent tour of Boston Scientific, attended by over 40 MHS students, exemplified this approach. View a recap of the tour here.

The visit showcased cutting-edge medical technology and highlighted the crucial role organizations play in shaping the next generation of innovators. Students participated in an engaging panel discussion that explored various career paths and hands-on demonstrations of medical devices, providing them with a unique opportunity to envision their potential career trajectories.

We extend our gratitude to all members of the Boston Scientific employee resource groups for generously sharing their insights and experiences.

Our 8th graders toured Marlborough High School over two days in October, getting an exciting sneak peek at the opportunities that await them as they transition from middle school to high school.

During the tour, students made several informative stops throughout the school, where they discovered the career-building programs, unique extracurricular activities and extensive athletic offerings available to them when they #ChooseMHS. At each location, current students and staff shared their experiences, providing valuable insights and guidance on the transition to high school.

These annual tours provide a fantastic opportunity for future high school students to explore the possibilities that lie ahead. A huge thank you to the high school staff and students for hosting such an informative and welcoming experience. The future is bright for our 8th graders!

This Halloween, Mr. Nick's Latin IV class at Marlborough High School transformed into ancient Rome with an unforgettable Roman funeral for a beloved character, Uncle Titus.

MHS Latin students and 8th graders at the Whitcomb School gathered to pay their respects after Uncle Titus met an unfortunate fate, slipping at the baths and breaking his hip. The atmosphere was a mix of reverence and celebration as they held a grand funeral procession complete with a tibicen, filling the air with mournful melodies. Hired mourners and relatives donned imagines (elaborate masks of ancestors), creating an immersive experience of Roman custom. The highlight of the ceremony was Cornelius's poignant laudatio (eulogy), honoring Uncle Titus before his cremation.

Each year, our Latin IV class performs a unique Roman celebration, and after this remarkable event, we can't wait for what they have in store for next year!

On Oct. 21, the Marlborough High School Business & Information Technology Department, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Marlborough, MA, Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, proudly hosted a Reality Fair for MHS juniors.

At the Reality Fair, students received a paycheck based on their chosen career. They made real-life decisions about housing, transportation, utilities, clothing and more by visiting vendors stationed throughout the event. They also faced the "Wheel of Fortune or Misfortune," which simulated unexpected financial twists! This invaluable experience enhanced financial literacy and equipped students with the skills to make smarter financial decisions. Special thanks to Business & Information Technology Teacher Jayne Haley for organizing this impactful event.
